The Story

The Hollywood Road Antique & Art Fair is dedicated to celebrating creativity and the vibrant spirit of Hong Kong's arts and antiques community. With a mission to provide a platform for local and international dealers, we engage the public through dynamic exhibitions and interactive experiences that foster a deeper appreciation for art and history.

Hollywood Road has been the center of art and antique trade since the 20th century, with many shops run by families that have continued the tradition across generations. By connecting dealers and collectors with audiences of all ages, we aim to inspire and enrich the cultural landscape of our community while revitalizing this historically significant district.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Collectors

Our vision is to promote the rich history of Hong Kong, its arts and culture to younger generations. This year's fair focuses on attracting younger visitors to the world of art and antiques, creating accessible entry points for new collectors.

Following the success of our first edition in 2024, which invited dealers of the second and third generation to participate, the 2025 edition aims to engage local communities with a contemporary approach in celebrating Hollywood Road's rich history. Through interactive exhibits and educational programs, we're connecting young enthusiasts with established collectors and showcasing how traditional artifacts remain relevant and meaningful in today's world.

Liang Yi Museum - Our Venue

The four-storey Liang Yi Museum is home to one of the world's largest and best-curated collections of Chinese antique furniture, made of the treasured materials huanghuali and zitan, from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Started in the 1980s with many of the earlier pieces purchased right on Hollywood Road, the collection has grown to over 400 pieces three decades later. Selected pieces have been exhibited in other prestigious institutions, including the National Museum of History in Taiwan and the Palace Museum in Beijing.

In addition to classical Chinese furniture, Liang Yi Museum also houses the world's premier collection of bejewelled clutches, compacts and powder boxes, as well as European silver and Japanese works of art, making it the perfect setting for our fair that celebrates craftsmanship and cultural exchange.

Revitalizing Hollywood Road

Hollywood Road in Central, Hong Kong, is a historic street known for being a long-established hub for art and antiques, recently named one of the coolest streets in the world. As one of the oldest streets in the city, it offers a fascinating glimpse into Hong Kong's rich heritage.

The fair serves not only as a platform for cultural exchange between the East and West but also to celebrate and revitalize this culturally significant district. The event represents a significant initiative to rebuild community connections while attracting both local art enthusiasts and international tourists to one of Hong Kong's most culturally rich areas.

In partnership with Abbey Mei Limited, Asia Art Hong Kong, Asia Art Macau, and KELY Support Group, we've created an engaging program of activities throughout the fair. This collaborative approach brings together the community to experience the unique character of Hollywood Road while supporting its continued vitality as a cultural destination.
